- Referrals for ambulatory patients are welcome. The patient will be required to complete the routine Initial Inquiry process. Expedited services require a case discussion with the patients current health care provider.
- Referrals for psychiatrically hospitalized patients are also welcome, but will not be considered without a prior case discussion with their current inpatient psychiatrist.
- Patients who are severely mentally ill, currently at high risk of dangerousness, or likely to require frequent crisis services are generally not accepted. An OMH certified clinic is recommended for the higher level of care: an inter-disciplinary team, more frequent contact, outreach services, case management services, legal authority to compel crisis intervention (more restrictive), etc. If you believe a patient with these characteristics would, nevertheless, be appropriate, please feel free to request a case discussion.
